Timeline
Key Milestones in Our History
1997
The SQA Group is founded — anchored on three principles: Speed, Quality, and Assurance. From the outset, the Group positions itself as a Malaysian-Japanese contractor combining Japanese discipline with local construction expertise.
2005
SQA broadens its sector exposure — taking on larger industrial mandates including factories, warehouses, and showroom developments for Malaysian and Japanese corporate clients.
2010
Delivery of large-scale industrial and institutional projects across the Klang Valley and northern corridor — including production plants, regional warehouses, corporate offices, and educational facilities.
2015
SQA Builders is upgraded to CIDB Grade G7 — the highest Malaysian contractor grade — qualifying the firm for construction works of unlimited value in both public and private sectors.
2020
Continued growth of SQA's integrated Design & Build offering — combining in-house design, engineering coordination, MEP, and construction under a single accountable contract for industrial and commercial clients.
2024
SQA expands its role beyond contracting — building dedicated development-ready capabilities to support landowners, investors, and industrial occupiers through joint ventures, build-to-suit projects, and forward-funded structures.
